What the Software Is, and Whether It Costs Anything
What does this software do?
It's a graphical proxy client built on the V2Ray / Xray core, helping you connect more reliably in restricted network environments. The software itself is completely free and open-source — you'll need to configure or obtain your own working node information to use it; this site doesn't provide nodes or subscription services.
What's the difference between v2rayN, v2rayNG, and v2flyNG?
All three share the same core and similar usage, differing mainly in platform: v2rayN targets Windows (a .NET version is also available for macOS/Linux), v2rayNG targets Android phones, and v2flyNG is a community-maintained fork with essentially the same features and usage. The download page automatically recommends the right version for your system, so you don't have to figure it out yourself.
Is downloading or using this free?
The software itself is completely free and open-source, and the downloads and tutorials we provide don't charge any fee either. Be wary of anyone claiming to be "official" and asking you to pay for the client or purchase some kind of "license" — that has nothing to do with this site.
Is the software open-source, and is it safe?
Yes — v2rayN / v2rayNG and the core they depend on are all open-source projects with publicly viewable code. The software itself doesn't read or upload your private data, but your traffic does pass through whatever node you configure, and how trustworthy that node is depends on where you got it from — that's unrelated to the client software itself.
Slow Downloads, Antivirus Flags, and Picking the Wrong Version
What if the download is slow?
Try switching networks (e.g. from mobile data to Wi-Fi, or vice versa), downloading outside of peak hours, or disabling any multi-threading limits in your download manager. If it still won't finish after a long time, try again later.
What if my antivirus flags or blocks it after installing?
This is a common occurrence with network proxy tools (it doesn't mean the software contains malware) — it usually happens because this type of software's behavior when modifying system network settings gets misidentified by heuristic security rules. You can add it as a trusted item / whitelist entry in your antivirus software and reinstall.
Does the version number on the site match what I actually download?
Yes. The version number shown on the download page stays in sync with upstream releases — what you see on the page is exactly what you get when you click download. There's no scenario where the page shows an old version but you actually get a new one, or vice versa.
Why isn't there a direct download button for iOS?
Proxy apps like these fall into a sensitive category under App Store review policies and have been removed from Mainland China's App Store. This is a platform-level restriction, not an issue with this site or the software itself — it mainly affects Apple IDs set to the mainland China region. If that's you, switch to another region's App Store account, or use another supported client instead.
Which version should I download (x64/ARM, Apple Silicon/Intel, etc.)?
The download page clearly labels which variant to choose for each platform: for example, newer Windows machines are almost always x64, Macs bought after 2020 are mostly Apple Silicon (M-series chips), and older Macs use Intel chips. If you're not sure, check your processor info under "About This Mac" (or the equivalent on your system).
Nodes, Subscriptions, and What to Do When You Can't Connect
I'm connected, but I still can't access anything?
This is usually related to whether your node information is still valid or whether your routing mode is set up correctly — not a problem with the software itself. First run a speed test on the current node to confirm it works, then check that the routing mode is set to PAC or Global rather than Direct. Do you provide nodes or a subscription service?
No. This site only provides download mirrors and English-language guides for the v2rayN / v2rayNG / v2flyNG client software — you'll need to obtain your own node or subscription address. We don't sell, resell, or recommend any specific node service.
What if I forget my subscription address?
Your subscription address comes from your node provider — the client itself can't recover it for you. Check the client's subscription settings for any saved history; if it's truly lost, you'll need to contact your provider to get it again.
Can I use it on multiple devices at the same time?
The client software itself can be installed and used on any number of devices, with no device limit. Whether a specific node supports multiple simultaneous connections depends on the limits of the node service you're using — that's unrelated to this site or the client software.

Is it legal to use this kind of software?

The client software is open-source and doesn't collect or upload your private data on its own. However, your network traffic does pass through whatever node server you configure, and the node operator could theoretically see that traffic — so how trustworthy your node source is directly determines your privacy. We recommend avoiding unknown free nodes for sensitive information.
What's the relationship between this site and the official v2rayN / v2rayNG developers?
This site is an unofficial download mirror and English tutorial site, with no affiliation to the original developers of v2rayN / v2rayNG / v2flyNG, and it doesn't represent them officially. Copyright belongs to the original authors and the open-source community — we only provide downloads and setup help.
